About the Workshop

Join me for a cosy winter day of crochet as we begin creating the beautiful Winter Tartan Throw together.

With festive music playing, warm drinks flowing and plenty of delicious nibbles to enjoy, we’ll spend the day slowing down, getting creative and sharing everything we love about crafting together.

Inspired by the timeless look of traditional tartan, this exclusive Ray’s Room design combines rich seasonal colours with beautiful texture to create a throw that’s perfect for curling up under throughout autumn and winter. Whether it’s draped over your favourite chair, wrapped around your shoulders on chilly evenings or brought out each festive season, it’s a project you’ll treasure for years to come.

Throughout the workshop I’ll guide you through every stage of the pattern, demonstrating each of the techniques you’ll need and sharing lots of tips to help you crochet with confidence. Whether you’d like support with colour changes, keeping an even tension or simply enjoying the process, I’ll be there to help every step of the way.

As with every Ray’s Room workshop, this is about much more than making something beautiful. It’s a chance to take time for yourself, enjoy good company and spend a relaxed day surrounded by like-minded crafters in a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

You’ll leave with your throw well underway, the confidence to continue at home and, hopefully, a few new crafty friends too.

What You’ll Learn

During the workshop you’ll learn the techniques needed to create the Winter Tartan Throw, including:

• The crochet mesh
• Changing colour
• Creating the woven tartan effect
• Adding tassets
• Tips and techniques for achieving a beautiful finish
• Plenty of crochet hints and tricks gathered from years of teaching

There will also be lots of opportunity to ask questions and receive individual support throughout the day.
