About the Workshop

Join me for a cosy festive day of crochet as we begin creating the beautiful Poinsettia Blanket together.

With Christmas music playing, festive treats on the table and plenty of tea, coffee and laughter, we’ll spend the day slowing down, getting creative and enjoying everything we love about crafting together.

Inspired by one of Christmas’ most iconic flowers, the Poinsettia Blanket is an exclusive Ray’s Room design that’s full of beautiful texture and timeless festive charm. It’s the kind of blanket you’ll look forward to bringing out every festive season for years to come.

Throughout the workshop I’ll guide you through every stage of the pattern, demonstrating each of the techniques you’ll need and sharing plenty of tips to help you crochet with confidence. Whether you’d like support with reading the pattern, joining your motifs or perfecting your tension, I’ll be there to help every step of the way.

As with every Ray’s Room workshop, this is about much more than learning a new pattern. It’s a chance to take some time for yourself, relax, meet like-minded people and enjoy a welcoming, creative atmosphere where everyone is encouraged and supported.

You’ll leave with your project well underway, the confidence to continue at home and, hopefully, a few new crafty friends too.

What You’ll Learn

During the workshop you’ll learn the techniques needed to create the beautiful Poinsettia Blanket, including:

• Creating the signature poinsettia blocks
• Joining your blocks
• Creating the candy cane edging
• Reading and following the pattern with confidence
• Helpful tips to achieve a beautiful finish
• Plenty of crochet hints and tricks gathered from years of teaching

There will also be lots of opportunity to ask questions and receive individual support throughout the day.

If you’re comfortable with the basic stitches and would like to create a more detailed project with plenty of guidance and support, I’d love to welcome you.
